This week’s Weekend Funnies is brought to you by procrastination. Why do today what you can do tomorrow? I kid, but I do apologise for once again being late with the post. Anyhow, you’ll find our favourite webcomic strips from the past week posted below the thoughts for the week.

Clik here to view.Wow, Microsoft did a bit of an “Xbox One Eighty” on Wednesday, didn’t they? They’ve dropped the DRM and always-online requirements for the Xbox One. You’ll still need to connect to do the initial set-up for the console, including a day-one patch, but then you never have to have it connected to the internet again to play games that don’t need it. It seems like Microsoft really did listen to criticism… or their accountants.
Now the only real question about the Xbox One centers around its Kinect functionality, whether or not it will pry on every move you make and upload it to the US government. I still pre-ordered one. They’re welcome to spy on me scratching myself and shouting expletives at football games.
In other news, I’ve started playing The Last of Us on the PS3. It’s incredible. I’m not going to spoil anything as I’m not that far in anyway, but I’ve never played a better opening to a game. It’s really tense and engaging. The graphics, acting and character animations are the best I’ve seen in any game. Never mind the next generation, we still have some pretty good games coming out on current gen consoles. Anyway, read our review by Michael Ormonde here.
Before doing that, please check out the webcomics below and click on the source links at the bottom to give the original creators some love. Some of these strips might be offensive or unsuitable for work environments, especially if you happen to work at Microsoft.
